Our classes make strong use of play and fun as applied to fitness. The program will be based on safe and proven movements within CrossFit’s teaching principles of mechanics, consistency and intensity; athletes are taught sound mechanics for movement, and only when they have shown that they can consistently demonstrate sound movement will intensity be applied to the exercise regimen. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement. We will run, jump, skip rope; we throw, squat, and pick things up. We play games and we learn new skills. Your child will always learn a new movement, apply that new movement in a work out, play a game, and have fun!

Since 2014 CrossFit Kingsboro has built a bridge that connects Clinton Hills, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, and Bedford Stuyvesant. Our goal is to bring community based fitness to the area. We believe that fitness goals can be easily achieved and maintained within the framework of a community. Our programming is strength based and intended to be inclusive to all clients regardless of current physical ability. Our workouts and programming templates are constantly varied to prevent stagnation and boredom in fitness goals.

Coach Chris, owner of CrossFit Kingsboro, has partnered with CrossFit Surfside and will lead daily workouts that follow the HIIT/WOD format with strength conditioning and stretching.
Morning workouts will be CrossFit-inspired, incorporating conditioning, and WOD (workout of the day) that touches on the principles that make CrossFit so popular and effective: constantly varied functional movements performed at a high intensity.
Evening workouts will be lower impact and more restorative. These classes may include team-based fitness games, core work, and/or a restorative stretch at sunset.
